Eagles Stuck Wearing Black Because of Problems With Midnight Green – Uni Watch

“Odd scene at last night’s Eagles/Pats game in Foxboro, as New England opted to wear white at home and the Eagles wore their black alts. But according to a series of tweets from Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Zach Berman, the black alts weren’t just an aesthetic choice — they were worn out of necessity, because Philly’s new green jerseys in Nike’s Elite 51 tailoring template aren’t ready yet.”

Eagles to wear black alternate jerseys to begin season

“Last season, for the first time since Thanksgiving 2009, the Eagles wore their black alternate jerseys in what turned out to be a key Week 13 win over the Cardinals. The jerseys returned last night for the Eagles preseason loss to the Patriots, and apparently will be a mainstay early in the 2014 season.”

“Three and a half months of work for something that will last a lifetime. This is how the San Francisco 49ers in-house design team approached Levi’s® Stadium’s inaugural season logo. Creative services manager Ben Mayberry and Co. saw an opportunity to put a permanent stamp on a new start.”

The Oklahoma State Cowboys’ Good Luck Charm

“Can jerseys make a difference when playing the role as the underdog against the top-ranked team in the nation? Possibly. In the Cowboys’ nine victories wearing black, only one has been an upset, but it may have been the most surprising upset in school history. It was also the most recent time the Cowboys wore their darks.”
