The Maryland Terrapins are back in the spotlight for uniform news.
Ever since 2011, the Maryland Terrapins have been called the Oregon of the east with it’s supplier Under Armour helping them take their uniform game up a notch in every sport.
Both the football and basketball programs have had multiple uniforms since the university’s athletic program decided it was time to re-brand in such a way that everyone would know that the University of Maryland is Maryland’s school.
Maryland Pride was born and took that nation by storm.
The use of the Maryland flag has been the cornerstone for Maryland’s brand.
Now, as the Terps have moved to the Big Ten, it seems Under Armour is ready to supply it’s flagship school with new uniform swag to help make a grand entrance.
The football team debuted their Maryland Pride 2.0 uniforms last year which was all red and featured a hand painted Maryland flag helmet.
A photo from the school store has shown that same jersey template in both red, white and black which might mean that the Terps will use this template full time this season.

Will those uniforms be used during the 2014 season or will the jerseys above become the Terps full time uniforms?
Maryland men’s basketball has also sported a few different uniform looks since 2012.
They incorporated the new terrafont and brought back the black and gold piping from the early 2000’s.
They have worn white, red, black, white ops, black ops, heritage, and Maryland Pride (white & black) uniforms since 2012.
For 2014, it looks like the Terps might be mixing it up again.
Photos from the teams official photo shoot were tweeted out and all the players were wearing black uniforms that look similar to their “black opps” uniforms.

If you look close, this jersey’s uniform numbers are outlined in red and are solid gold on the inside.
The “black opps” uniforms featured numbers that were outlined in gold and had a black and grey Maryland flag pattern on the inside .
Because the Terps are now in the Big Ten, the conference logo is now featured on the front and the American flag is on the back above the player name.
Expect to see the Terps make a big splash in the Big Ten not only with their play but also with their arsenal of uniforms.
