There’s a new College football National Championship trophy.

College football’s 2015 national champion will not hold up a crystal football this season.

Instead, they will hoist a trophy that will become part of a new era in college football.

This season, there will be a playoff system to determine college football’s national champion.

Instead of a computer system picking two teams to be in the national championship bowl game, there will be a playoff bracket.

The tweet below explains all the details.

But, what about the trophy. The new trophy incorporates the official College Football Playoff logo and is a combination of gold and silver.

The top of the trophy takes the shape of a football and has four laces which represent the four teams that are involved in the playoff system.

Overall, it’s a nice trophy and is worthy of the national championship title, but I still think the crystal football has a magical look and feel to it that can’t be replaced.

Check out the unveiling below.
