USF helmets get the chrome treatment.
If you’re a college football team in 2014, chances are you have more than one football helmet to choose from for Saturdays.
The University of South Florida is stepping up their helmet game for the 2014 season with two new lids that a little bit more shiny than their predecessors.
The Bulls official school colors are green and gold.
Under Armour is the official uniform supplier for the entire school including the football program and has used green, gold and white in their uniforms and helmets in previous years.
This year, the Bulls have added two more lids that are both featuring a chrome look. One is gold and one is green.

The gold helmet features a gold chrome lid with a green chrome face mask. The green bull head logo with a white outline is centered on the helmet.
The green helmet features a matte green lid with a chrome gold face mask. Instead of going with the normal sized logo, this helmet features a solid gold chrome bull head logo that is enlarged and takes up most of each side of the helmet.
These helmets add nothing but hype to the USF football uniform look.
White, green and gold helmets were already featured with the green and white uniforms and looked great already.
But, to get ahead in today’s college football world, one must join the helmet craziness.
Some schools go with multiple colors, some the chrome look and some like to change the logos on the helmets for each game.
I think these helmets stay true to the school and it’s colors and are a good match with the rest of the uniforms. The Bulls are hoping that these helmets not only make them look good this upcoming season but also on the recruiting trail.
Prospects always like things that are shiny.
Check out the helmets matched with the uniforms in this video released by the USF athletic department yesterday.
