Everybody likes a good hot dog on July 4th. This guy likes to celebrate by eating 61 franks and winning this sweet championship belt (He also got engaged!).
Joey Chestnut continued his dominant run through the world of competitive eating, winning his eighth Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in a row by eating 61 hot dogs in 10 minutes. He defeated Matt Stonie by five hot dogs.
Nascar is definitly an American thing. Nascar drivers like to show their American pride with some really awesome paint jobs.
Major League Baseball always like’s to come out with some patriotic hats for July 4th. But, here is a great breakdown of how those hats have evolved over the years.
Originally a gesture of patriotism, MLB teams began wearing small American flag patches on the left side of their caps on Independence Day, 2002. This would continue for six seasons, but in an effort to sell more merchandise, MLB and New Era created a series of flag-themed hats to be worn on the national holiday ever since.
