The BUZZ IS BACK in Charlotte!

The Charlotte Hornets unveiled their brand new uniforms for the 2014-2015 season this morning via their website and social media pages.

The entire city of Charlotte and NBA fans around the world have awaited the return of the Hornets name to where it started, and now they have a new uniform to sport.

Just like many re-branding efforts, the designs of uniforms and logos try to pay respect to the past while taking the brand into the future.

The Charlotte Hornets new look is no different. The logos went from a more playful hornet to a fierce and ready to attack hornet.

On the jersey side of the re-brand, we see that the previous teal, purple and white colors remain with the new addition of gray.

The Hornets will wear white uniforms at home, purple uniforms on the road, and have a teal uniform to use as an alternate.

What about the old Hornets uniforms? Will we ever see them on the court again?

The answer to that question is yes. The old Charlotte Hornets uniforms can be brought back as a throwback/retro uniform.
