Remembering San Diego Padres Legend, Tony Gwynn

Tony Gwynn, also known as “Mr. Padre”, died to cancer on Monday at the age of 54.

Gwynn was one of baseballs greatest hitters of all time.  He finished his career with a .338 batting average, won eight National League batting titles and played in the franchise’s only two World Series.

He stayed in San Diego his entire career which showed how much he loved the game and not just the pay check.

Gwynn will be missed by many. Teams will remember him in various ways including the San Diego Padres who will wear a black arm band on their sleeves for the rest of the season.
