Syracuse Orange Lose First Game of the Season in Alternate Two-Tone Jerseys

When a number one team falls it is a big deal.  But when a number one team falls in an alternate uni, it’s an even bigger deal to this website.

The Syracuse Orange debuted the much anticipated Nike two-tone Hyper Elite Dominance uniforms last night against Boston College and came away with their first loss of the season.  The Eagles were 6-19 heading into the Carrier Dome, and shocked the Orange faithful.

With that huge upset, we might not be seeing the two-tone uniforms from the ‘Cuse in the future.

As far as the jersey goes, I really liked that two-tone look Nike put out.  It was different, but still kept the tradition of Syracuse Basketball in tact.  We’ve seen some crazy alternate uniforms for college teams over the past few years, but these were definitely not the worst.

The woodmark on the front of the jersey with Syracuse spelled out in cursive is the best part.  Instantly conjures up memories of Jim Boeheim’s younger days wearing crazy suits, and the Orange trotting out Rony Seikaly.  Anytime you can get to remember Rony Seikaly, I’m a fan.

Other schools that Nike made two-tone Hyper Elite Dominance jerseys for include:

  • Oregon
  • Ohio State

Here’s all seven of the Nike Hyper Elite Dominance jerseys.
