NFL teams wore commemorative jersey patches on Sunday to celebrate the NFL Hall of Fame’s 50 years of service.

Most of the teams wore the patch on the left shoulder of its uniforms. The patch features the Hall of Fame logo, with a gold ring around it, and a blue ribbon on the bottom of the patch that says, “FIFTY YEARS.”

This is a great gesture by the NFL to allow the Hall of Fame to celebrate its special anniversary on each team’s uniforms. Not only will this effort bring awareness to the Hall of Fame, but it will also spike the interest of casual fans who were unaware that a Hall of Fame existed.

The Hall of Fame is located in Canton, Oh., and is the home of the annual Hall of Fame preseason game that kicks off each new NFL season.
